Helpful Visitor & Newcomer Information

If you are new to this congregation OR if you just moved to Colorado Springs, here are some suggestions for helping you make meaningful connections in our church:

Lobby Welcome Center We have a Welcome Center staffed with friendly people in the sanctuary lobby to assist you when you come to our church, provide you with helpful materials, and answer any questions you have about the church.
10:00-10:30 Fellowship Time For our church family, we provide a time of fellowship in our church gym for 30 minutes between the two Sunday morning services to allow people to visit with friends and meet new individuals.
Quarterly Gatherings for Newcomers Watch for announcements about the church's ministry staff hosting a Newcomers lunch following a Sunday morning services.  This is a great opportunity to meet the staff and other individuals, couples and families that are new to the church.
New Community Sunday School Class We offer a 6-week newcomer adult Sunday School class to allow newcomers to get to know other new people in the church, learn more about our church and its ministries, and begin to get connected in our church family.  This class is led by Pastor Don Leigh and is offered at 10:30 in the Gym classroom.
Adult Sunday Schools In our church, many relationships are formed and cultivated through involvement in one of our ten different adult Sunday School classes. Classes vary in format, teaching style and age ranges. See the Sunday Worship Guide bulletin for details. If you have questions on which Sunday School would be right for you, please talk with a staff member.
Service and Ministry Opportunities  If you have an interest in serving in any specific capacity, please contact a pastoral staff member or church leader or click here.
Other ways to make connections  Go to the page on Adult Connections and read more about the many different ministry programs available.

Suggestions for making special connections and relationships in our church:

When you visit the church, introduce yourself to the Sr. Pastor and give him some background about yourself.

Participate in the 10:00-10:30 donut fellowship time.  Introduce yourself to others and tell them you are new to the church.

Decide to attend an adult Sunday School class.
Call the church office (634-3144) and sign-up for the next Sunday-after-church Newcomer lunch.
Review the worship guide bulletin to see what activities you or your family may want to participate in.
If you have children, talk to other families who have children around the same age(s).
