The Real Significance of Easter

1 - You can receive eternal life

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned.

1 John 5:11-14 God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.  I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

2 - You can discover abundant life

John 10:10AMP (Jesus said) ÒI came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).Ó

Col 1:16 All things were created by him and for him.

Eph 2:10 We are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Jer 29:11 ÒI know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

3 - You can have a forgiven life

Ps 32:5 (King David said) ÒI finally admitted all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, "I will confess them to the Lord." And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.Ó

Isa 1:18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD.  "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.Ó

Col 1:14 (Jesus) bought our freedom with his blood and forgave us all our sins.

Rom 8:1 There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

4 - You can experience a new life

2 Cor 5:17 When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!

Gal 5:19-23 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group,  envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.  But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Gal 2:20-21 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

5 - You can enjoy a victorious life

Rom 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?ÉNo, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
