Kings 19:19-21 Elijah went from there and found Elisha

threw his cloak around him. Elisha then
left his oxen and ran after Elijah. "Let me kiss my father and mother
good-by," he said, "and then I will come with you." "Go back," Elijah replied.
"What have I done to you?" So
Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them.
He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and
they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his attendant.
Matt
19:21-24 Jesus answered, "If you want to be
perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have
treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." When the young man heard this, he went away

10:38-42 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way,
he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had
a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But
Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to
him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the
work by myself? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered,
"you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has
chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

6:33 Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things (food and clothing) will be given to you as well.
Mark
10:28-30 Peter said to him, "We have left
everything to follow you!" "I tell you the truth," Jesus
replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or
father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a

children and fields-and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come,
eternal life.”

Cor 5:9-10 We make it our goal to
please him [Christ], whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we
must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive
what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
